DLA Contingency Support Team (DCST) Program

DCST Program Seeking Volunteers

Would you like to travel to the far reaches of the world?

And serve your country at the same time?

Then DCST may be right for you.

The DLA Contingency Support Team (DCST) Program provides logistical support to conflicts, natural disasters, emergencies, mobilizations and other contingency operations around the world.

Positions are open for distribution and supply specialists, transportation coordinators, logistics operations personnel processing, commodity specialists, communications officers, even Commanders.

DDC Civilians, Reservists, and Active Duty Military (both officers and enlisted personnel) are needed.

DCST is looking for volunteers for deployment throughout 2002 and beyond for positions in Germany, Bosnia, Croatia, Hungary and many other locations.

When DCST volunteers deploy, they become part of a large team supporting an even bigger effort. This is a recent team deployed in Bosnia.

DCST volunteers are responsible for a variety of duties while supporting the warfighter, assisting in natural disasters, and providing humanitarian relief. Here, at DCST Forward Bosnia, the DCST volunteers are working in a DLA DRMO storage location in Lukavac, Bosnia. Hazardous material is being removed for shipment to Germany and Hungary for disposal.

DCST team members often have interaction with the community they are supporting. Team members typically wear camoflauge uniforms and local civilians believe they are all part of the United States military. This memorial was dedicated to the first civilians that were killed in Tuzla during the Bosnian war and was also the location of the first bombing.
